Paddy McGuinness undergoes vasectomy

Paddy McGuinness has undergone a vasectomy.
The 45-year-old TV presenter – who has two-year-old daughter Felicity and five-year-old twins Leo and Penelope with 31-year-old wife Christine – took to Instagram to tell fans he has undergone the procedure, which ensures he won’t have any more children, on Tuesday (25.06.19), and assured his supporters the operation was "a doddle".
Speaking in the video, he said: "Well, patient McGuinness is home.
"I’ve gotta tell you, gentleman if you’re thinking of having a vasectomy and you’re a bit reluctant as I was, the initial anaesthetic, what they give you in the old pippins … I’m not going to lie, that’s tender, oh that’s tender.
"That made my eyes water, but after that, honestly, it’s a doddle.
"I’m currently resting up at home with a towel full of ice on the nickedy nackedy noos. Just icing them up, but I’ll keep you up to speed."
A vasectomy is a surgical procedure for male sterilisation or permanent contraception, to prevent pregnancy, and is usually carried out under local anaesthetic.
The ‘Top Gear’ host captioned the video: "Home now after having the auld snippy snappy snoo. Currently resting up with a bag of ice on my nadgers. #vasectomy #testicletuesday (sic)"
This is the ‘Take Me Out’ star’s second stint in hospital recently, after he went under the knife last month to fix his "dodgy right shoulder".
Sharing a snap of himself in the hospital, he wrote: "Finally getting my dodgy right shoulder sorted!!! I’m having a Arthroscopic Subacromial Decompression + ACJ Resection, Arthroscopic Debridement and Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Debridement! Got to be worth a few points in Scrabble that? (sic)"
