Orlando Bloom has been honoured with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Special Award for his environmental awareness work.
The 41-year-old actor attended the prestigious event at the Monte-Carlo as part of a fundraising night featuring a live auction – which raised €21 million for the foundation – and he used his speech to call for action.
Speaking at the gala on Wednesday night (26.09.18), he said: "The urgency of climate change has never rung louder than it is now. The science is clear. And what will they say of us, a hundred years from now, since we knew but sat and did nothing?
"The world is changing, and we need to change our habits along with it. So I would challenge you to think what impact you can make and what legacy you will leave for your children and grandchildren because I truly believe that each and every individual is capable of creating real and monumental change."
The star-studded event also featured performances from Gloria Gaynor, Nile Rodgers & CHIC and rap duo Madcon.
It also saw Orlando make his first red carpet appearance alongside his partner Katy Perry, and the couple looked very much in love.
Katy previously admitted she doesn’t want her relationship with Orlando to be the focal point of her life as it’s only "one part" of her.
She said: "It’s OK to mention him. I don’t want it to be a headline of the story, because it takes away from the purpose. Also, it’s extremely misogynistic. Of course, I love my relationship, but that is one part of me, and I don’t want any part of what I do to be diminished."
