Ore Oduba makes plea for West End roles

Ore Oduba has issued a come-and-get-me plea to musical theatre bosses to sign him up for future productions.
The 32-year-old TV presenter got a taste of the performing world of show business when he won the 14th series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, and he would love to showcase his talents with a role in a musical.
He said: "Since the show [‘Strictly’] I said I want to make this part of my industry, part of my work and so I’ve been beavering away in the background with a view to hopefully finding the right stage and doing some more of it.
"There are so many wonderful roles and if anybody wanted to pass them my way, I would gratefully receive it."
Ore reported on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding last weekend but found it "really hard to keep it together" being away from his four month-old-son Roman, whom he shares with wife Portia.
Speaking to Magic Radio at the Magic at the Musicals with Cadbury Dairy Milk event at The Royal Albert Hall, he added: "He’s only four months now but we can’t imagine a day without him. And when we do – I was away at the Royal Wedding and my wife was away at her mum and dad’s.
"I mean, it was really hard to keep it together, because he’s just he’s a part of you and you immediately forget what life was like beforehand but it wasn’t nowhere near as worthwhile.
"I called after the wedding actually and my wife said that he was like a meerkat.
"The reaction of his face was like, ‘I know that voice, I’ve heard it before no idea where it’s coming from.’
"But yeah, hopefully one day he’ll be proud of his dad."
