Olly Murs to return to The X Factor

Olly Murs is to return to ‘The X Factor’.
The ‘Troublemaker’ hitmaker – who is currently a judge on rival show ‘The Voice’ – has confirmed he will return to perform on the ITV show where he found fame, three years after the fall-out which saw Olly axed from his hosting duties after one year at the helm.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I don’t know whether it was Simon’s decision or not but I am definitely going to be performing on the show. It’s all confirmed. I’ve been asked back every album, so I can’t wait to go back again. I was nearly on the ‘X Factor’ panel but I decided to stay at ‘The Voice’. It was amazing to be asked, but ‘The Voice’ is more for me at the moment and my career. Who knows about the future but I wanted to stay on ‘The Voice’ for now."
The 34-year-old pop star previously revealed he "always wanted" to be on ‘The Voice’.
The singer – who will be joined on the panel by Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson and will.i.am when the show returns in 2019 – said: "I made no secret about wanting to do it (‘The X Factor’) again. I had loads of offers of different things. But ‘The Voice’ was always the one that I wanted. I love the show very much. It’s fantastic and it’s great to be here."
Whilst co-hosting ‘The X Factor’, Olly accidentally mixed up the judges’ scores and made a premature announcement that Monica Michael was being sent home.
And he has now revealed that he went to therapy over the blunder.
He said: "The papers didn’t laugh it off – they made a massive deal about it. The media attention, and the social media aspect, upset me the most. They really tried to take me to the cleaners. They tried to make me lose my job over a silly, small mistake. And when I went back to singing, it made me overthink what I was doing, ‘I’m going to forget the lyrics, what I’m doing’ … So that was something I needed to speak to a therapist about. And I’m not scared to admit that – that’s the stigma that men have."
