Olly Murs is enjoying being single.
The ‘Grow Up’ singer – who split from Francesca Thomas last year after three years of dating – isn’t interested in finding a new girlfriend at the moment but he won’t say no if anyone does ask him on a date.
He said: "I’ve stopped dating at the moment because it was getting on my nerves a little bit.
"After a while, it gets a bit monotonous. If the odd date comes along, I might go for a drink and see where the night takes us, but I’m not actively looking right now.
"I’m going to enjoy being single."
Olly’s break up from Francesca inspired a lot of songs on his new album ’24 HRS’ and he played the record in full to the property manager as he felt he owed it to her – and was relieved she didn’t respond with a "slap".
He explained to heat magazine: "It has got a bit of heartbreak in it and the single ‘You Don’t Know Love’ is about how I felt when I broke up with my ex. But lyrics like, ‘I’ve made some bad decisions and the last one was you’ were ad-libbed and pretty harsh. They’re not what I felt, they just worked in the song.
[Francesca and I] went out for a curry and then I played her the album but we didn’t analyse every word. I just thought it was the right thing to do.
"We were together for three years and I wanted her opinion. I didn’t get a slap, which was good."
