Olly Murs’ big duet

Olly Murs duetted with 80,000 people.

The ‘Wrapped Up’ hitmaker took to the stage at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball, sponsored by FIJI Water, yesterday (06.06.15) to play some of his biggest tracks but without collaborator Demi Lovato there to perform ‘Up’ alongside him, he needed a little help from the audience.

He told the crowd: "So listen, this next song I’m going to sing to you guys … Capital were trying to get me to duet with someone.

"And I said to them, ‘I don’t need a duet on stage tonight because I’ve got 80,000 people in Wembley Stadium that could do this next song with me.’ So you guys ready to sing this next song with me Wembley? This one is ‘Up’."

The crowd were kept entertained throughout the day from huge names including Jason Derulo, Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson.

One Direction – in one of their first UK shows as a four-piece following Zayn Malik’s shock departure from the group – kicked off the Ball with a number of their biggest hits as well as a performance of a track, ‘Girl Almighty’, off their most recent album.

Closing the show, Avicii gave the fans packed into Wembley Stadium a night to remember as he played his number one hit ‘Wake Me Up’ as confetti rained down over the entire stadium.

Other notable performers included Carly Rae Jepsen, Little Mix, Fifth Harmony and ‘So Sick’ hitmaker Ne-Yo. Rixton, Meghan Trainor and Jess Glynne were also on hand to perform some of their biggest hits.
