Ollie Locke has reportedly quit ‘Made in Chelsea’.
The 29-year-old reality TV star has been a regular on the posh series since 2011, during which time he’s documented his relationships and fall outs, but has now decided to turn his back on the show in order to focus on his gay dating app, Chappy.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: "Chappy represents the future of gay dating and we are thrilled to have an investor and partner as well versed in the market as Whitney and Bumble.
"In addition to fully understanding our ethos and mission to normalise gay dating Bumble also knows the importance of an app fully recognising the needs of the user."
However, the news that Ollie has walked away from the programme won’t come as too much of a surprise to fans as he recently admitted that he would quit when his best friend Binky Felstead temporarily leaves ‘MIC’ to have her baby.
He said: "I think with Binky being there, that’s my priority at the moment."
Binky announced she was expecting a baby with her on/off boyfriend Josh ‘JP’ Patterson at the end of last month but Ollie has known about impending arrival since November last year and has really struggled to keep it a secret.
He explained to BANG Showbiz previously: "I was surprised. I did know. I’ve known since November, so it’s really hard to keep it quiet. It’s a big deal."
And, although their time on the show is coming to an end, Ollie has thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the baby news on the programme thus far and loves how "happy" his best friend is about her forthcoming new addition.
He said: "It’s all on the show. I’m not allowed to talk about it very much. But she’s very happy. I think they’re both delighted."
