Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen have chosen a "fancy" menu for their wedding.
The ‘Love Island’ couple are set to tie the knot later this year and, although they’re taking their time with the preparations to ensure they get it just right, they have finally decided what they want their guests to eat when they celebrate at the reception.
Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: "By the time you read this, Alex and I would have finally chosen our wedding menu – and we’re going fancy. When we first met, Alex only ate chips and pasta. He didn’t know what scallops or calamari were, and he’d never even eaten a king prawn! I’ve taught him to eat more ‘out there’ food, so instead of having a roast dinner, we’re going for a menu of fish and steak. When I think about what Alex has taught me since we first met, it’s definitely to be calmer. I used to be such a worrier, but now I’m less uptight and I chill out more."
And that’s not the only thing the 23-year-old beauty has booked as she has already decided that they will be treating their guests to a fireworks display in the evening.
She explained: "I’ve also booked a firework display in the evening and arranged the flowers. It’s all coming together, slowly!"
However, one thing that isn’t going to according to plan is her wedding dress shopping.
She said: "Girls, I’m having a nightmare. Despite the fact I’m presenting a show all about wedding dresses, I actually don’t have one sorted for myself yet.
"I’d ordered one, but then I saw a new season version online that I preferred the one I had, so I stopped the production of it. I can’t try on the new dress until March 10 and I’m cutting it a bit fine to get either dress now. This new one is fitted and vintage-looking, but still sexy. I really hope I like it. Luckily, I’ve bought four-inch wedding heels and the veil, but currently that’s all I’ll be wearing on my big day."
