Olivia Attwood has slammed model Chloe Ayling for not being a celebrity.
The 27-year-old former ‘Love Island’ star questioned why Chloe, 21 – who was kidnapped in 2017 – was chosen to appear on this series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
Olivia tweeted: "Does being kidnapped make you a celebrity? Is that a mean thing to say, not sure on that one."
The controversial post was flooded with comments and one user hit back at Olivia’s reality TV origins by quipping: "Does sitting round a pool?"
However, Olivia showed she had a sense of humour when she replied saying: "How dare you. I didn’t just sit. Sometimes I got up, walked round a bit. Did some swimming. Really rude Thomas."
And some of her followers jumped to the reality star’s defence, agreeing that being kidnapped does not equal celebrity status.
One user wrote: "No I completely agree if I was kidnapped and was safe I don’t think I would go on national telly incase it happens again." (sic)
Another said: "I thought the exact same thing!! I get that the whole "eye of the storm" theme is including people who have been controversial in the media but its CELEBRITY BB!! The media claimed when she first sold her story that she was just out for publicity and now this…?? Hmmm?(sic)"
Chloe was abducted and held captive by Lucasz Herba last year after he lured her to Milan under false pretences, and then kept her against her will for six days.
During that time he claimed that an organisation called the ‘The Black Death’ wanted to sell Chloe as a slave on the dark web.
Ahead of her entry to the house, Chloe said: "I feel the past year has been really tough with people not believing me, so this is a chance to turn it around and start a new life.’
"I feel if I can survive what happened to me then I can definitely survive the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
"I think I will be a fun housemate who will bring the energy – and stay up the latest."
