Noel Gallagher’s first love was Manchester City

Noel Gallagher has described Manchester City as his "first love".
The 51-year-old rocker – who has been a life-long fan of the football team and performed two legendary shows at its former Maine Road stadium in 1996 – admitted he fell for the Cityzens even before he discovered his passion for music.
Speaking in Amazon Prime’s upcoming documentary ‘All or Nothing: Manchester City’, he said: "I was in love with City before I was in love with music. I was in love with City before I was in love with my wife. I was in love with City before I was in love with my kids. It was the first thing that I loved."
The first episode of the series – which gives unprecedented access to Manchester City’s record-breaking Premier League triumph across the 2016/17 campaign – was screened at the Printworks’ VUE Cinema in Manchester on Wednesday night (15.08.18) with the whole squad in attendance with manager Pep Guadiola.
The ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ hitmaker also suggested the long-time fans who supported City through the less successful years before Sheikh Mansour’s Abu Dhabi United Group bought the club in 2008 and used their millions to transform the club "deserve" what they’re seeing now on the pitch.
Whilst last season saw City top the league in a record-breaking run that saw them rack up 100 points and score 106 goals, their first Premier League title came in dramatic fashion when they won it in the final moments of the final match of the 2012/13 campaign.
Reflecting on that moment, Noel previously admitted he "cried like a baby" as his friend went into a wild celebration in front of him.
Noel – whose estranged brother Liam Gallagher is also a huge Man City fan – said: "My mate tried to pull the TV off the wall. I swore a lot and then I cried like a baby because I’ve never seen anything like that before. It was mind-blowing."
