Noel Gallagher’s first-ever book set for release

Noel Gallagher tells tales from the road and gives fans an insight into the making of his latest LP ‘Who Built The Moon?’ in his first-ever book.
The former Oasis star publishes ‘Any Road Will Get Us There (If We Don’t Know Where We’re Going)’ on November 1, a record of the ‘Wonderwall’ hitmaker’s life with his High Flying Birds featuring photographs by former official Manchester City photographer, Sharon Latham, with words by renowned journalist and author Hamish MacBain.
The 51-year-old rocker gave the pair the chance to witness his life on stage and behind the scenes with his band and crew on tour throughout America, Canada, the UK and Ireland, Europe and Southeast Asia this year.
In true Noel style, he himself tells anecdotes through candid interviews, with his band members also speaking to Hamish.
The ‘Holy Mountain’ songwriter is also set to discuss the book at a special Q&A with fans in London’s Kings Cross on October 23, hosted by Will Hodgkinson, where Noel will also be joined by snapper Sharon.
Noel received his first Mercury Prize nomination for 22 years with ‘Who Built the Moon?’ – his third solo LP – which is up for the prestigious album of the year award.
The record – which was produced by David Holmes – is one of the 12 nominees and is up against Arctic Monkeys’ sixth album ‘Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino’, Lily Allen’s ‘No Shame’ and Florence + the Machine’s ‘High as Hope’ among others.
It is the first time that an album written by Noel has been shortlisted since Oasis’ 1996 release (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’, which went on to lose to Pulp’s fellow Britpop classic ‘Different Class’.
The winner will be announced at the televised ceremony live from London’s Hammersmith Eventim Apollo on Thursday night (20.09.18).
The book is priced at £20 in hardback and available to pre-order now.
Tickets for the one-off event are now and are priced at £35, including a copy of the book, from https://bit.ly/2QGuerk
