Noel Clarke will lead the cast of new ITV drama ‘Viewpoint’.
The 44-year-old actor will star as a surveillance detective who sets up an investigation into missing primary school teacher Gemma Hillman (Amy Wren) by taking up surveillance in the home of a single mum (Alexandra Roach).
The series will also feature the likes of Catherine Tyldesley, Bronagh Waugh, Sarah Niles, Shannon Murray, Phil Davis, Ian Puleston-Davies, Marcus Garvey and Erin Shanagher.
Lucy Bedford, the head of drama at Tiger Aspect Productions, said the series will be a "compelling, tense, claustrophobic thriller that turns the spotlight on the observer rather than the observed".
She added: "With the incredible Noel Clarke and Alexandra Roach leading the cast, we are extremely excited to be back in production."
Meanwhile, Noel previously opened up about his incredible weight-loss after dropping 13 percent of his body fat in just four months.
The ‘Bulletproof’ actor made a pact with co-star Ashley Walters after realising he’d become "softer" around his waist, and acknowledging he couldn’t make any excuses for his excess weight.
He shared: "In 2012, I had to put on three and half stone for a film about cage fighters. But the project didn’t happen and the weight stayed on.
"Then, in April last year, we were shooting season two of ‘Bulletproof’ when I looked in the mirror and thought, ‘This is not cool.’
"I was 13 stone and over the years, everything had got softer. I was with my co-star Ashley who said, ‘Let’s get in shape.’ I thought about making excuses: ‘I’m not as muscular as you, I’m five years older’ etc. But excuses aren’t me."
