Nitin Ganatra feared he had booked into a "swingers hotel" by accident when uninvited strangers burst into his room twice.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star was fast asleep in the early hours of this morning (27.06.19) when someone entered his hotel room in Knutsford, Cheshire, but he managed to scare the guy off by putting on a deep Geordie accent.
He wrote on Twitter: "In a hotel in Knutsford for work. 12.45 in the nite, fast asleep. Door bursts open. Half asleep I yelled "what you doin!? Why I choose a deep voice and jordie accent I dunno! The guy ran off terrified. This is why you NEVER sleep naked! And ALWAYS keep your boots on! (sic)"
And earlier this morning, Nitin – who played Masood Ahmed on the BBC One soap – was left shocked when another uninvited guest burst into his room, and he questioned whether he had accidentally checked into a different type of hotel than he’s used to.
He tweeted: "Ok. Just had a shower. And it happened again!! Wtf is going on??? Am I in some swingers joint by accident?? (sic)"
His former co-star Shane Richie (Alfie Moon) saw the funny side, tweeting: "I’m waiting"
Nitin revealed his unexpected guests were entering his room via a key card.
The star recently returned to the stage after 16 years away to star in ‘End of the Pier’, and he was rewarded with a Best Actor gong at the Eastern Eye ACTA Awards for the production.
Former ‘Coronation Street’ actress Shobna Gulati (Sunita Alahan) won Best Actress for ‘Richard II’.
