Nikki Sanderson signs new contract with Hollyoaks

Nikki Sanderson will be in ‘Hollyoaks’ for the "foreseeable future."
The 32-year-old actress has revealed she will continue to grace our screens as Maxine Minniver, a role she has had for the past four years, for at least another year after recently signing a new 12-month contract.
She explained: "In August, I will have been on ‘Hollyoaks’ for four years. I’ve just signed another contract so I’m here for the foreseeable."
And, although she’s been on the show for just under half a decade, Nikki is still very much enjoying portraying the feisty new mother.
Speaking to new! magazine, she said: "I’m really enjoying it. I’m very fortunate. I get to do a job I love, with people I get on really well with. It’s a wonderful working environment.
"I’m blessed. And I’m really enjoying all the different obstacles that keep getting thrown at Maxine. It’s great as an actress to be able to portray her because she has so many different dimensions."
Meanwhile, she may enjoy playing Maxine but Nikki has admitted she can’t bear the "pressure" actors and actresses are put under when it comes to looking and behaving a certain way on television.
She explained: "There is a pressure there. But am I going to go under with that pressure? No. At the end of the day, I am who I am. I have the body shape that I have. Nowadays everyone wants to conform to a certain look and size. That’s not real because every woman and man has a different body shape."
