Nicole Scherzinger has seemingly laughed off the controversy surrounding The Pussycat Dolls’ return to the stage.
The 41-year-old singer – who stars in the group alongside Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt and Jessica Sutta – has taken to social media to plug the band’s upcoming tour and their new single, after they raised some eyebrows with the revealing outfits they wore on ‘The X Factor: Celebrity’.
Nicole – who also revealed the name of the group’s new single – wrote on her Instagram account: "Wasn’t expecting that… were you [winking emoji] #REACT coming soon! Get your tickets to the #PCDReunion tour at the link in my bio. (sic)"
Recently, Nicole teased what the band may wear during their upcoming tour, which will include nine live UK shows in April 2020.
The singer explained that the chart-topping band plan to "bring fashion forward" when they embark on their long-awaited comeback tour.
She said: "We’re excited about being fashion forward. We’ll be taking a lot of inspiration from the runways.
"We really love what Dua [Lipa] has been doing with fashion, so it’s going to be the best of both worlds. But danceable!"
By contrast, Nicole previously confessed that she initially struggled with The Pussycat Dolls’ sexy image.
The singer – who has also enjoyed success as a solo artist over recent years – admitted she was wary of joining the burlesque dance troupe-turned-pop stars when many of the other auditionees turned up in their underwear.
She said: "In the beginning, it was a massive hump for me to get over…
"I was very conservative. I had really strong religious beliefs. I just wanted to make my mother proud."
