Nicole Scherzinger has been asked to return to ‘X Factor’ next year.
The 39-year-old singer was asked to reclaim her seat on the tough-talking judging panel this year after the chemistry between her and her co-judges – Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh – was heavily praised by fans in 2016.
But, although it was speculated that Cheryl Tweedy was being lined up to return next year, the brunette beauty has admitted the job is hers if she wishes to accept the offer.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: "I’ve been asked to return and hopefully we can make it work. I love it so most likely I will come back. I never know what’s going to happen but ‘The X Factor’ feels like family to me. The show is too much fun for me not to come back. I love this job and I love this country."
Nicole’s future on the programme was thought to be up in the air after the show’s boss Simon hinted that he wanted the former Girls Aloud star to take a seat next year following her successful stint during the Judges’ Houses round earlier this month.
Asked whether Simon would have her back on the panel, he said: "We’ll consider it. Let’s wait till the end of the show… maybe [current judges Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne] don’t want come back [next year and there will be a space on the panel]. Let’s see what happens, I wouldn’t rule anything out."
And, although the 34-year-old beauty hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a return, the ‘Call My Name’ singer wants to spend some more time with her seven-month-old son Bear.
She explained: "I want to be with Bear a little bit longer. It has just been me and him and I’m just loving being a mother at the moment.
"I’ve got time – I’ve got that luxury lifestyle and some mothers don’t have that luxury and have to get back to work. I’m just taking it as I can but I do love the show."
