Nicole Kidman’s daughters wouldn’t have approved of her BAFTAs gown.
The 49-year-old actress stunned in a beautiful sparkly black dress as she posed for photos on the red carpet at the 70th British Academy Film Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday (12.02.17) but admits her daughters would have thought the low cut outfit was too risqué.
Speaking on the red carpet, she said: "It’s too low. If they’d had their say I wouldn’t have been allowed out in it because it’s low cut!
"They would have gone, ‘No, mum. That’s a rude dress.’ They like me more in dresses that make me look like a fairy or a princess."
Meanwhile, Nicole – who has Faith, six, and Sunday, eight, with her spouse Keith Urban and Connor, 22, and Isabella, 24, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise – previously revealed she relies on her youngest children for style advice.
She said: "My kids were like, ‘Where are you going?’ I said, ‘To get a style award.’ They were like, ‘What?’"
Asked if she gives her kids advice on their outfits, she quipped back: "No! They give me it."
And the blonde beauty has always loved fashion as her mother used to make all her clothes.
She revealed: "My mom made all my clothes when I was a little girl and then when I got bigger I suddenly had people like Lagerfeld and Tom Ford and Alexander McQueen and Galliano making clothes for me and I get to wear those extraordinary things. It’s kind of amazing. That’s like fairytale stuff right?
"It was a train wreck when I was 10, 11, 12 … But I was really into chill skirts and ankle boots and all that sort of stuff. So I think I’ve just evolved as I’ve grown up. And now I probably have a far more, I would say, classical style with a bit of a twist."
