Nicole Kidman eyed to join Colin Farrell in Killing of a Sacred Deer

Nicole Kidman is in talks to star in ‘Killing of a Sacred Deer’ as Colin Farrell’s love interest.
The 48-year-old beauty is in final negotiations for a role in the psychological thriller alongside the 40-year-old Irish actor, who will also reunite with ‘The Lobster’ director Yorgos Lanthimos on the project.
Element Pictures says the movie – which has paranormal themes – tells the story of "a young man that needs to take revenge, a doctor that has to make a decision, and his family that must survive."
The stars will play a married couple who take a teenager into their home but when the youngster’s actions become progressively sinister, Farrell’s character, who is a surgeon, is forced to make the sacrifice.
Shooting begins in August from a script Lanthimos penned with ‘The Lobster’ co-writer Efthimis Fillipou.
Meanwhile, Farrell is working on the ‘Harry Potter’ spin-off and JK Rowling adaptation ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ whilst Kidman can be seen with Colin Firth in ‘Genius’, which is out now, and in the upcoming ‘Lion’ with Rooney Mara and Dev Patel.
The ‘Secret in Their Eyes’ actress is set to make a vampire movie titled ‘Cuddles’ adapted from the off-Broadway play from the same name.
The actress purchased the rights to produce through her company Blossom Films to make a movie from the thriller written by playwright Joseph Wilde.
‘Cuddles’ explores "the strange and disturbing forms love can take" revolves around a teenage vampire called Eve, who has never seen the outside world.
Everything Eve knows about the world comes from what her human sister Tabby has told her and the youngster thrives off reading fantasy novels, where fictional characters like Harry Potter, Bilbo Baggins and the cast of Dante’s Inferno are real.
Eve stays healthy by drinking her human sister’s blood but Tabby tires of opening her veins and Eve’s world changes.
The play was originally put on in London before it transferred to New York where it got rave reviews and caught the eye of the Hollywood beauty.
