Nicki Minaj has released a new song that features a shoutout to Harambe the gorilla.
The 33-year-old rapper dropped a surprise new track named ‘The Pinkprint Freestyle’ on SoundCloud on Sunday (04.09.16), and the list of names featured in the song includes her boyfriend Meek Mill, 29, and Harambe the gorilla, who was killed at the Cincinnati Zoo earlier this year in order to save a child who fell into the animal’s enclosure.
In the song, Nicki quips: "I’m dragging these h**s like Harambe did the kid."
The six-minute track is spun over Young M.A’s recent hit song ‘OOOUUU’, whom the ‘Anaconda’ rapper also gave a shoutout in the lyrics.
She raps: "Young M.A, it’s the female Jay / I’m a brand, according to what retail say / Yeah, my tour she selling out on pre-sale day / Plus I got the Tidal queen stream, press replay."
The ‘Bang Bang’ hitmaker also used the track to thank fellow rapper Lil Wayne for signing her to the music label Young Money.
The news comes after the ‘Forever’ rapper tweeted on Saturday (03.09.16) that he felt "defeated" and wanted to "leave gracefully", prompting speculation that he is thinking of quitting the music business.
He tweeted: "I am now defenseless and mentally defeated & I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fanz but I’m dun
"ain’t lookin for sympathy, just serenity … I’m good y’all don’t trip (sic)."
Nicki rounds off her new track by quoting 41-year-old rapper M.I.A’s single ‘Paper Planes’.
The curvaceous beauty raps the first verse of the 2007 hit, before adding: "I make b****es go M.I.A."
