Nick Grimshaw too nervous to ask Cheryl ‘normal’ baby questions

Nick Grimshaw was too nervous to ask his friend Cheryl "normal" baby questions because he didn’t want her to think he would tell his listeners on his BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show.
The 32-year-old presenter became friends with Cheryl, 33, when they both sat on the judging panel of ‘The X Factor’ together in 2015 and he would regularly message and speak to the former Girls Aloud star when she was pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Liam Payne and after their son was born on March 22.
However, Grimmy never wanted to pry about her tot in case she thought he was going to spill her secrets to the listeners of his radio show.
Speaking on the airwaves on Tuesday (02.05.17), he said: "I never want to ask the normal baby questions, like, ‘What’s it called? What sex is it?
"She is so famous. Me and my friend Amy met her for lunch but we felt like we couldn’t ask her questions about it. Normally if a friend is pregnant you ask but I feel like she didn’t want to tell me as she might think I would tell everyone on Radio 1. I probably would if I knew!"
Cheryl and One Direction singer Liam, 23, have kept their baby out of the spotlight so far and very few details about the birth were known.
It has now been reported that the happy couple have named their son Bear Payne.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Cheryl and Liam wanted to get to know their baby before deciding on a name.
"They spent over a week getting to know him first before deciding. They wanted to get to know him before they decided on the name. They didn’t have the name Bear before the birth. But they’d been thinking of a name since meeting him and they just felt it suited him. They love their little baby Bear Payne and are truly over the moon and loving being parents for the first time together."
The name has not been officially confirmed yet.
