Nick Carter spent $50,000 on his son’s nursery.
The Backstreet Boys singer and wife Lauren Kitt welcomed son Odin Reign into the world in April and the couple spared no expense when it came to creating comfortable surroundings for the tot.
According to TMZ, the 36-year-old singer paid a lot of money to celebrity designers Stephanie Avila and Tori Swain to design and build the nursery, and he and Lauren quickly fell in love with the steampunk wallpaper they chose, so opted for an industrial motif for the whole room.
Among the pricier items in the baby’s room are a $2,500 couch and a $700 crib.
The couple also splurged on a $550 lamp and $1,200 on lighting fixtures.
It was recently revealed Lauren – who wed Nick in 2014 – endured 30 hours of labour during a "difficult" home birth.
A source close to the fitness expert and actress, 32, shared: "She had a very difficult labour. It was hard on her. Of course, there was a happy ending!"
But Nick praised his wife for being "super cool" throughout her pregnancy and admitted he was cherishing every moment they had left together before the baby came along.
He previously said: "You know the thing with my wife is that she is super cool… When it comes to the life I have [Lauren] is making the process really amazing and comfortable.
"It’s cool to have some time to prepare. I’ve really been thinking about living in the moment and enjoying every day that I have with my wife. I’m enjoying the process, because I’ve heard that your life will change and your priorities will change and that’s great. So we are enjoying the time we have right now."
