Niamh Blackshaw is "really happy" for Lucy-Jo Hudson after she welcomed her second child into the world.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress – who plays Juliet Quinn on the Channel 4 soap – was delighted to hear Lucy-Jo, who stars as Niamh’s on-screen mum Donna-Marie Quinn on and off, has given birth to a baby boy, and she would love to see her return to the Channel 4 soap at some point.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I love Lucy-Jo so much. I’m really happy for her.
"I wish she would come back, but obviously she’s got other things to do right now, which is fine."
The 20-year-old star is grateful to Lucy-Jo for "showing [her] the ropes" when she first joined the soap in 2018.
She added: "She was the person I came in with and she showed me the ropes, and I learnt a lot from her.
"I’m very grateful that I have her and still have her as a friend, and I would love it if she could come back."
Lucy-Jo – who has daughter Sienna, six, with her ex, ‘Coronation Street’ actor Alan Halsall – took to her Instagram Stories late last night (20.02.20) to confirm she and boyfriend Lewis Devine welcomed a baby boy into the world on Tuesday (18.02.20).
She wrote: "When 3 became 4. 18.2.2020."
And in another post, she added: "We are so in love with our baby boy!!! Our family is now complete!
"Love you @lewisdevine (sic)"
Lewis wrote on Instagram: "Wow what an experience. We are so happy to announce that our little bundle of joy has arrived safe and sound and we are all back home now and settling in great.
"Our Sienna is delighted and is already making the best big sister just like I knew she would.
"I am so proud of Lucy-Jo seeing her carry him for 9 months and then bring him into the world the way she did it was just unbelievable and a memory and feeling that will last forever love you all so much. (sic)"
