Niall Horan versus Louis Tomlinson at Unicef’s Soccer Aid 2016

Niall Horan will compete against Louis Tomlinson at this year’s Unicef Soccer Aid 2016 match.
Niall, 22, will go up against his One Direction bandmate after the Irish singer/songwriter teamed up with Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri to be his assistant manager for the Rest of the World team against Louis, 24, who will be playing for the England side.
Louis is rated as a player and was signed in 2013 to play for his hometown team Doncaster Rovers on a non-contract basis.
The game takes place on Sunday, June 5 at Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium.
Taking to Twitter to confirm his involvement, Niall wrote: "Absolutely delighted to say that I’ll be joining mr . Ranieris management team for @socceraid . Really is going to be a week to remember (sic)"
And in an official statement released by Unicef, the world’s leading children’s organisation, Niall added: "It’s an absolute honour to be asked to be involved with such a fantastic charity and this game has become a major event on the calendar for the last 10 years. The Rest of World have a great team this year and I’m sure the boys are looking forward to the challenge. It’s going to be a great week."
Niall’s team will be led by Unicef UK Ambassador and Captain Michael Sheen and Niall will join his fellow teammates Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay, Westlife’s Nicky Bryne and ITV presenter Rickie Haywood-Williams.
The Rest Of The World team will also have a FIFA World Cup Winning captain, Brazilian legend Cafu. He is joined by former Manchester United favourites Jaap Stam and Dimitar Berbatov, Dutch midfield dynamo Edgar Davids, former Barcelona and Cameroon international striker Samuel Eto’o plus ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann – who will be looking to make it two Soccer Aid wins in a row for the Rest of The World.
Louis will play alongside pop star Olly Murs, former ‘TOWIE’ star Mark Wright, ‘The Voice’ co-host Marvin Humes, comedians Paddy McGuinness, Jack Whitehall and John Bishop, Jonathan Wilkes, Ben Shepherd and Jamie Theakston in goal.
Jose Mourinho will manage the England team alongside Sam Allardyce and Unicef UK Ambassador Robbie Williams.
The match will be broadcast live on ITV.
The England legends signed-up for Soccer Aid 2016 will include Liverpool icons Jamie Carragher and Robbie Fowler and former Manchester United star Phil Neville; David Seaman and his former Arsenal teammate Sol Campbell.
