Niall Horan is staging a golf tournament in aid of a children’s cancer charity.
The One Direction singer is teaming up with professional sportsman Justin Rose to raise money for Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens by throwing a gala dinner and golf tournament on May 29 and 30.
Niall said: "I’m thrilled to team up with Justin to host our first Horan & Rose Gala event, it’ll be great to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK Kids and teens, a charity I feel very strongly about. As a golf fanatic teaming up with Justin, a major winner, Ryder cup hero and a great friend, is just so exciting. I can’t wait for this two-day event".
The fundraising will kick off with a dinner at a secret location hosted by Kirsty Gallacher and catered by Jamie Oliver and his Fifteen team, with entertainment in the form of a live performance from Olly Murs and a Q&A with Justin and Ryder Cup-winning Captain Paul McGinley.
The following morning, attendees will participate in a pro-am golf event which includes breakfast, lunch and a prize giving.
Justin said: "Niall and I are delighted to host this joint event in aid of CRUK kids and teens. Every penny we raise will go towards saving another child’s life.
"As a father myself to two kids, I couldn’t think of a more worthwhile cause.
"Teaming up with my good friend Niall is exciting, Niall is helping bring the game of golf to a brand new audience which will only help encourage more young people to take up the game. It’s set to be a great couple of days."
