Neil Jones wants to isolate in a hotel every year

Neil Jones wants ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ stars to isolate in a hotel every year.

BBC bosses are hosting the professional stars in a hotel prior to training for the Latin and ballroom dance competition due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Neil, 38, says the entire team would love to be put up in a hotel for every series.

Asked if it was a hard decision to isolate for weeks away from family and friends, Neil said: "For a lot of us, it’s fine.

"Where we used to compete, a lot of the times we’d do training camps and we’d be in hotels with all the dancers. It would be just the dancers together.

"So actually, it’s kind of exciting. It’s something that we would actually like to do every year. It would be great."

Dianne Buswell recently confirmed the rumours that the professional dancers will isolate in a hotel for six weeks to perform group numbers.

And now, Neil has explained how they will remain safe inside the hotel bubble.

Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, he shared: "We’re gonna have a couple of weeks on our own just to make sure we’re all good, get tested and then we’ll be locked down altogether to work on the pro dances.

"So we’re all gonna be there together, doing all the group numbers, making sure we’re all healthy."

But not everyone appears to be too keen on the isolation plan, as Anton du Beke previously admitted he hopes he and his co-stars will not have to quarantine in a hotel.

He said: "It will be lovely to be with my ‘Strictly’ family – they are terrific and I love them all – but without Hannah and the children will be difficult, especially after having all this time together.

"I’m hoping we’re not going to have to do it but we will wait and see."
