Neighbours’ Bonnie Anderson did her own stunts for special scenes

Bonnie Anderson performed her own ‘Neighbours’ stunts for the show’s 35-year anniversary scenes.
The 25-year-old actress – who has played Bea Nilsson since 2018 – will be at the centre of the soap’s special run of episodes next week, and she’s really thrown herself into the spirit of the milestone celebrations.
She told Australia’s ‘Studio 10’ show: "It was pretty amazing. At the 35th anniversary we’ve got so many people from the past coming back to ‘Neighbours’.
"There’s five weddings and there’s three deaths, so 35 years – it’s pretty intense. All of the stuff we shot was amazing.
"I did some of my own stunts, it was good … I did them myself, so it was a lot of learning, a lot of energy, a lot of time."
Bonnie is excited for the scenes to air, and she heaped praise on the soap’s team for constantly being able to create such "incredible storylines".
She added: "I’m proud of what we’ve done for 35 years because everyone just stepped up their game. Neighbours always come up with some incredible storylines – obviously, they’ve been around for 35 years.
"It’s good to be a part of this milestone, it’s really great. This would have to be one of my favourite storylines we’ve done, and I’ve done so far."
The multi-talented star – who rose to fame when she won ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ in 2007 aged 12 – previously dismissed speculation she could be leaving ‘Neighbours’ after she didn’t join the rest of the cast for last year’s Christmas photo.
She responded to a fan on Instagram at the time, saying: "Everyone thinks I’m leaving the show. I’ve had heaps of people message me, ‘Are you leaving?’.
"I’m not leaving the show. I think what has made people question it is because I wasn’t there on the Christmas Day shoot [for] the photo.
"I wasn’t there… I was doing music that week, so I wasn’t able to come in to work. I just had the day off, and it was the day that we were all doing the shoot. (sic)"
