Nathan Massey has ruled out rekindling his romance with Cara De La Hoyde.
The 26-year-old ‘Love Island’ star, who shot to fame as the 2016 winner of the ITV2 show, revealed she was pregnant with her former flame’s baby in May, but they won’t be getting back together for the sake of their unborn child.
However, they will be remaining on "good" terms to ensure their little boy or girl has a good relationship with its parents.
The 25-year-old hunk told The Sun: "We are good. We have to be on good form for the baby.
"I don’t think we will ever get back together though.
"Both our priorities are the baby. I would rather bring in a baby in a nice environment."
The Essex-born star says while it was a "huge shock" when he first found out, he is getting used to the idea of becoming a dad and can’t wait for all that fatherhood brings, and he jokes that the world isn’t ready for a "mini" version of himself.
He said: "I’m not going to lie it was a huge shock but I can’t wait to be a dad now. God help the world for another little mini Nathan running around."
The couple split up in April after almost a year of dating and Nathan’s ex Olivia Buckland recently admitted she would like to see them get back together.
she said: "Maybe when they grow up a bit and Nathan settles down they will get back together at some point. I’d love them to get back together. The baby could bring them back together, fingers crossed."
Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, Cara admitted she would never get back with Nathan just because of the baby – as she claimed they’d "been having problems for a while".
Olivia, who is engaged to fellow ‘Love Island’ star Alex Bowen, admitted she was shocked when Cara broke her baby news to her six weeks ago via FaceTime.
She recalled: "She’s always wanted to be a mum. But because she wasn’t with Nathan at the time I did think, ‘That’s mad’. But luckily they are friends and do get along. People do have babies on their own now. A lot of people are single mums. I know Nathan will be there for her."
