Naomi Watts will "never say never" about having Botox.
The 47-year-old actress admits she sometimes feels she "needs the help" of the wrinkle-smoothing injections but doesn’t think the cosmetic treatment would help her career.
She admitted: "Personally, I feel for me it’s tough to do Botox — but it’s also tough not to! Sometimes, I think I need the help. Whatever anyone else chooses is fine with me, no judgment.
"Of course, I want to look the best I can, but I am playing characters that should match my age and the women and the material that I am interested in are usually going through something. I have to be able to live in my face and tell the story of the character I’ve taken on. But…I’ll never say never."
While she isn’t having Botox treatments to stay youthful, the ‘Birdman’ actress – who has sons Sasha, eight, and Sammy, seven, with partner Liev Schreiber – is a fan of the Triad Facial, a treatment comprising microdermabrasion, LED light therapy and a gentle peel, but also finds simple make-up tricks helpful.
She explained to NewBeauty magazine: "I once had a make-up artist tell me to wear blush as high as possible, on my cheekbones.
"You almost want to apply it under your eyes. It’s a good trick; it really does make it look better, yet it looks natural."
Though Naomi is trying to age "gracefully", she admits she isn’t always comfortable with getting older and changing physically.
She said: "Coming to terms with aging as gracefully as possible is the best thing anyone can do, no matter who you are, but everyone has their good days and bad days/
"I feel so much better as a person now than I did in my 20s, but most of the time I feel like I’m still a kid. There are days you feel like you are on top of it and you are OK and at peace with it; then there are the days you still feel 28 inside — until you catch that reflection or see a photograph and realise you aren’t anymore."
