The Neighbourhood: Weed helps us write

Rock band The Neighbourhood smoke "a lot" of weed and claim it helps them creatively.
The American act - made up of Jesse Rutherford, Jeremy Freedman, Zach Abels, Mikey Margott and Bryan Sammis - admit using the drug helps them to write good music and don't blame Miley Cyrus for smoking it so much.
Frontman Jesse told BANG Showbiz: "We didn't really f**k around with any of that stuff until about a year ago and started every day getting into it.
"It does help us creatively. When we haven't smoked for a while, we'll smoke and I think all of our ideas are the best ideas ever. My mind is always going, like a gazillion miles a f***ing minute, I need to calm down and concentrate.
"It makes me focus a lot and less paranoid. It's really interesting with me, it balances me. I hate the fact that a drug does that to me, but, it's f***ing weed, I don't blame Miley for telling everybody about it. I think it's the best thing in the world. I like getting high. I don't drink at all."
The band saw Miley perform in Oklahoma and couldn't believe how good to the 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker was live.
Zach said: "The show was so cool, I couldn't even believe it, I was like, 'It's really good'."
Meanwhile, The Neighbourhood are pleased they've been able to build on their fan base in the UK as well as America, after their single 'Sweater Weather' went double platinum in the US and their album 'I Love You' was a success over the pond, and they're now looking ahead.
Jesse said: "Those songs are old to us now, we want to move out. We're constantly writing stuff, we're about to release a free mixtape and it's almost ready to get put out. We're thinking a year ahead."

Jennifer Lopez on the hardest video of her life

Jennifer Lopez found it difficult filming the video for her track 'First Love'.
The 44-year-old singer, who shot the promo for her song in the desert in California, wasn't a fan of the drop in temperature and claims it was one of the most difficult experiences of her career.
Speaking to New York radio station Z100, she said: "We just shot the video for 'First Love' in the desert in California. It was the hardest video shoot of my life - it was freezing!"
Jennifer releases her new album 'A.K.A' on June 17, which features collaborations from Iggy Azalea, Rick Ross, Sia, T.I., and insists she still puts in 100 per cent for her fans when it comes to new music and live shows.
She explained: "As a performer you have to know how to turn it around and bring it back in big way with the audience on your side.
"I had my eye on Iggy Azalea for about a year. I've never collaborated with a female rapper before and I've always wanted to."
Meanwhile, the 'I Luh Ya Papi' singer, who will be honoured with ICON Award 2014 at the Billboard Music Awards on May 18, also spoke about her shock in being told she will receive the accolade.
She said: "It's kind of overwhelming and surreal to me to get the ICON award. I'm very humbled and super excited for it."

Ricky Wilson escapes surgery on injured eye

Ricky Wilson doesn't need surgery on his injured eye.
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman arrived at The 2014 Radio Academy Awards in London on Monday night (12.05.14) wearing an eye patch over his left eye.
Ricky suffered the "minor accident" filming the fairground-themed video for his band's next single 'Meanwhile Up in Heaven' while riding a dodgem, however, it should heal on its own over the next few weeks.
When asked if he would require an operation to fix his sight, Ricky said: "I don't need surgery and I've still got one good eye, and two good ears."
The 36-year-old singer also revealed he is excited about playing live with the band this summer and on tour next year, and is looking forward to playing to the new fans he has attracted from his judging role on 'The Voice' UK.
He said: "We're doing loads of festivals this year as many as we can. Our own tour starts next February. I'm so excited about the tour, it's what it's all been about, we spent the last year-and-a-half recording our album and we're so proud of it and we didn't know whether our fans were going to come out and support us but they came out in force and they came out fighting for us. We didn't want to pre-empt it by booking a big tour before it was out, just because I was on 'The Voice' but it came out and was received very well and the word of mouth is just making it grow and grow ... Our fans were pretty diverse in the first place and I think we're back there again, of course 'The Voice' has helped but we kind of had a inkling it might."
The Kaiser Chiefs performed three songs at the awards ceremony at The Grosvenor House Hotel and guests included Myleene Klass, Kian Egan, Alfie Boe - who also played live - and Pixie Lott.

Bonehead: Oasis aren’t reforming

Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs claims Liam Gallagher would have told him if Oasis were reforming.
The 48-year-old guitarist reckons he'd be the first to know if the warring Gallagher brothers had put their feud behind them and were reforming the Brit Pop band.
Liam sparked speculation the band were getting back together when he took to Twitter to individually tweet a letter of the band's name every half an hour, sending the internet into meltdown.
The musician told The Sun newspaper: "Everyone hopes it happens, but there's nothing going on. I met Liam in the pub that evening he tweeted the letters spelling the band and he didn't mention he'd done it. Next thing, reunion talk everywhere."
However, Bonehead refused to rule out the possibility altogether, adding, "Never say never."
The mysterious posts came just two months after Oasis announced they are re-releasing their debut album 'Definitely Maybe' with previously unheard tracks to celebrate the LP's 20th anniversary on May 19.
The band split in August 2009 after Liam, 41, and his brother Noel, 46, had a huge backstage bust-up at a festival near Paris, France.
The pair were spotted avoiding each other this month at the Etihad Stadium, where they watched Manchester City win against West Ham to clinch the Premier League title.

Niall Horan: South America has been unbelievable

Niall Horan has described the reaction to One Direction in South America as "unbelievable".
The pop star - who has been on tour with band mates Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson - was stunned by how many fans turned out to their shows as part of their 'Where We Are Tour'.
He told Irish radio station Spin 1038: "The shocking thing to us is that this is our first time in South America. We come down here and our fans have sold out stadiums for us. It gets us really excited. We've done some amazing shows, playing to 50/60,000 people a night."
The 20-year-old star is also excited to be heading to his hometown of Dublin at Croke Park where they kick off the European leg of their tour on May 23 and he insists fans have a lot to look forward to when it comes to the live production.
He explained: "It's very fun-filled, we try to have a laugh on stage and get the crowd involved, it's a must for us.
"I play guitar on nine or ten [tracks], I try and play it as much as I can. Croke is coming up in a couple of weeks and it's going to be unbelievable. It's one of the gigs that everyone is talking about, that and Wembley of course.
"They've been waiting a while since the last time we were in Dublin."
Talking about the band's worldwide success, he added: "We're all in the same boat, we're all from tiny little places, probably none of us had ever been to London. It's just unbelievable. We're baffled by it, it's just ridiculous, at my age as well, it's unreal [but] we're having a great time. The last two and a half weeks in South America, I never thought I'd get to countries like this."

Ricky Wilson has bumper car injury on set of music video

Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson had an accident on the bumper cars while filming their next single.
The 36-year-old singer was spotted wearing an eyepatch at last night's (12.05.14) Radio Academy Awards and insists things got "out of hand" at the fairground when they were working on the video for their music.
He said: "We were filming a video for our next single and I had a minor accident.
"I was on a bumper car because we were filming in a fairground and things got out of hand.
"You'll understand why when you see the end result."
Ricky insists the incident could have happened anywhere since they weren't performing a dangerous stunt.
He added: "It wasn't even a stunt, it could have happened in the kitchen."
Meanwhile, the Kaiser Chiefs - also made up of Simon Rix, Vijay Mistry, Nick 'Peanut' Baines and Andrew White - recently admitted they want their track 'Coming Home' to be England's unofficial world cup anthem even though The Football Association have selected Gary Barlow's 'Greatest Day' - featuring former Spice Girl Mel C, Pixie Lott, Katy B and Gary Lineker - as the official track ahead of the competition in Brazil this summer.
Bassist Simon said: "Hopefully, 'Coming Home' will be played when England are carrying the World Cup on the plane back home."
Ricky joked: "We could always do a special edition - 'Coming Home Early!'"

Lily Allen finds it weird hearing her music in clubs

Lily Allen admits she finds it "weird" when she hears her music in clubs and often wants to leave.
The 'Hard Out Here' singer, who is celebrating after her comeback album 'Sheezus' went to number one in the UK Album Chart on Sunday (12.05.14), sometimes feels like hiding if one of her songs comes on in a bar because she finds it embarrassing.
Speaking to the British edition of GQ magazine, she said: "Usually if I'm in a club and my music comes on I find the nearest table and hide underneath it. That's generally how I deal with it."
The 29-year-old star insists she doesn't feel excited when she's with people and her music comes in a club and it makes her uncomfortable if someone purposefully put it on.
She explained: "It's quite funny because in some places they think that's the appropriate thing to do when someone like myself walks in is to play their song. I think I might be different to most people in the sense that I react: I'm horrified when that happens and hide. I'm sure some people get on the table and dance 'Woo hoo! This is great.' But I can't do that."
Lily thanked her followers on Twitter yesterday for getting it to the top spot, she wrote: "Yay!!!!!! Number 1 album, thank you lots and lots everyone. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. (sic)"

Harry Styles: I’ve fallen in love with South America

Harry Styles has "fallen in love" with South America while on tour with One Direction.
The pop star - who has been performing with band mates Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne - has already had a tattoo of 'Brasil!' tattooed to his groin and has now posted a tribute to South America on his Twitter account today (12.05.14).
He wrote: "South America, you have been absolutely incredible. I have fallen in love with you. Hope to see you again soon. H. (sic)"
The 'You & I' hitmakers performed their last South American show in Sao Paulo, Brazil, last night (11.05.14) and will now enjoy a couple of weeks relaxing before their world stadium tour resumes in Dublin, Ireland later this month, and Niall is excited about performing on home soil.
He also tweeted his thanks after their gig in Brazil, posting on Twitter: "That was incredible Sao Paulo ! Stadium was huge ! Thank you ! Xx (sic)"
The boys have been seen cosying up to Brazilian pop singer Anitta during their trip and were also approached by legendary footballer Pele for a collaboration.
A message posted on the band's offical Instagram account, with a photograph of Harry, Louis and Zayn, also read: "South America - you've been incredible! Next stop is Ireland! #WWATour."

Justin Timberlake: My parents encouraged me

Justin Timberlake's parents encouraged him to put in "115 percent" when working.
The 33-year-old pop star and actor, who rose to fame began his career as part of boy band 'N Sync, before becoming a successful solo star, credits his mother and father for teaching him the importance of hard work.
Speaking to Oprah Winfrey for her Oprah's Master Class series, Justin said: "That was something I remember my parents telling me. The idea that if you put in more than 100 percent, if you put in 115 percent, then there's a good chance that you're going to end up getting back somewhere in the 90's. That made sense to me."
Justin practiced singing and dancing growing up for hours on end and only performed live when he felt ready to face an audience.
He continued: "And the idea that something worth having was worth putting all of yourself into it. Practice, rehearsal, working on it when no one's looking.
"Getting comfortable in it. So that when you step on that stage, you're ready. And then you can literally forget all of that and just be in the moment. And do something different. Do something original, do something different every time."
Meanwhile, Justin appears on Michael Jackson's posthumous album, 'Xscape', which was released last week and revealed it was Michael who made him believe he could go solo.
