Adam Lambert’s relationships are ‘jaded’

Adam Lambert thinks his love life is "jaded".
The 'Ghost Town' hitmaker - who recently confessed he has slept with many "closeted" celebrities - now thinks his love life is debilitated and his upcoming album 'The Original High' is a reflection of that.
He said: "I think lyrically what I like about it is that I'm talking about things in 'Ghost Town' that are, you know, kind of me realising may be I've gotten a little bit jaded, maybe I'm questioning if I'm going to be able to fall in love again, what is this world giving to me?
"There are so many ways in which we are all different, we have different races and genders and religions and sexual orientations, but at the heart of it, a lot of us are looking for the same things and getting hurt in the same way and that's what I like about the album."
And Adam revealed his inspiration for the LP came from observing his friends.
The former 'American Idol' contestant told MTV: "I kind of started trying to observe how my friends and I out here in LA, what we had in common, what we were going through, what kind of heartaches and what kind of triumphs and what kind of thrills we all wanted."

Pete Townshend doesn’t ‘like’ The Who shows

Pete Townshend doesn't "like" performing with The Who.
The guitarist - who is in the iconic band along with fellow founding member Roger Daltrey, 71 - explained despite playing shows around the world, he doesn't particularly enjoy his life on the road.
He said: "The shows? I don't like them. I don't find them fulfilling. But I'm brilliant at it. I find it incredibly easy. I drift through it.
"I get out the other end and the next day, somebody comes up to me and says, 'You were f**king amazing yesterday!'"
The 'My Generation' rocker went on to liken his performances to a pair of shoes, saying he has reached a point where he will never disappoint people with what he does, just like a good cobbler.
Speaking in the new issue of Uncut magazine, he added: "It's like being able to make a pair of shoes and knowing that you've got to a point that whenever you make a pair of shoes for somebody they're going to last them for life. I don't get particularly excited about it, but I do find it easy."
The 69-year-old musician - who is currently on tour across North America - will return to Europe for a string of shows in June, including a headline performance at Barclaycard's British Summer Time in London's Hyde Park on 26 June.

Paul McCartney: Kanye West is like John Lennon

Sir Paul McCartney found writing with Kanye West similar to working with John Lennon.
The 'Hey Jude' singer spent two afternoons penning tracks with the 'All Day' rapper and the pair adopted a similar process to that which the 72-year-old musician used when crafting songs with his late Beatles bandmate.
He said: "When I wrote with John, he would sit down with a guitar. I would sit down. We'd ping-pong till we had a song. It was like that."
Paul was initially reluctant to work with the "controversial" star so made Kanye agree that their efforts would be scrapped if he wasn't entirely happy with them.
He told The Sun newspaper: "My first thought was, 'Woah, what am I going to get into here?'
"He is amazingly talented but controversial and can make eccentric moves. I realised if it didn't work out we'd just say so and shake hands and leave."
The two men got on well as they exchanged a number of stories, and one of Paul's memories sparked a song, 'Only One', in Kanye.
He explained: "We sat around and talked an awful lot just to break the ice. One of the stories I told him was about how I happened to have written 'Let It Be'.
"My mum came to me in a dream when she'd died years previously. I was in a bit of a state -- it was the Sixties and I was overdoing it.
"In the dream she said, 'Don't worry it's all going to be fine, just let it be.' And I woke up and thought, 'Woah' and wrote the song.
"I told Kanye this and he said, 'I'm going to write a song with my mum.' So then I sat down at the piano."

Ed Sheeran’s voice damaged by air conditioning

Ed Sheeran says air conditioning damaged his voice.
The 'Thinking Out Loud' hitmaker admitted he worried his Australian tour would be cancelled because his voice had "dried up".
He told Sydney's Daily Telegraph: "It was scary. It was a difficult tour in that respect, a lot of air conditioning and a lot of flying dries you up ...
"I had to be more sensible than I usually am. One [of my hit songs] was in [the setlist] but because my voice went, I couldn't do falsetto. It had to come out ... It'll be different when I come back to Australia in December."
Meanwhile, Ed recently revealed he had been banned from talking and was, instead, forced to communicate with a whiteboard.
Writing on Twitter, he said: "Been told by the vocal doc not to talk at all between shows and they're giving me a white board to communicate with, could prove interesting (sic)"
Despite his tour Down Under not going exactly to plan, whilst in the country, Ed secured himself a cameo in Australian soap 'Neighbours'.
A post on the programme's official Facebook page read: "Look who's been spotted in Summer Bay! Yep, your eyes do not deceive you, world renowned singer/songwriter, Ed Sheeran, recently visited the Palm Beach and Eveleigh sets of Channel 5's Home and Away to film scenes for an upcoming episode.
"He will appear as himself in the series, but storyline details about what brings Ed to Summer Bay are being kept under wraps for now. Ed's episode will screen later this year... (sic)"

The Script replace Sam Smith at Logie Awards

The Script will replace Sam Smith at The 57th Logie Awards.
Sam had to cancel his appearance at the TV awards ceremony and his Australian tour because of a haemorrhage on his vocal cords.
The 'Superheroes' hitmakers - fronted by Danny O'Donoghue - have been confirmed as Sam's replacement and are already in Oz on their 'No Sound Without Silence Tour'. They performed a sell-out show at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Wednesday (29.04.15).
In two Twitter posts about the concert, the band wrote: "You turned our whole world upside down last time! Melbourne ready for more? #TheScriptNSWSTour ... Melbourne we had a great time! (sic)"
Before The Script agreed to replace Sam at the event - which is being held at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne on Sunday (03.05.15) - Charli XCX was wanted because she is currently playing concerts on the East Coast of Australia but she ruled it out if the ceremony was happening on her "day off".
Meghan Trainor and Ricky Martin will also play live.
Meanwhile, Sam has promised his fans he will return to Australia in December to play his rearranged concerts.
The Logie Awards will be hosted by Shelley Craft and Jules Lund and will be aired live on Australian TV's Nine Network.

Taylor Swift wants to work with Kanye West

Taylor Swift has praised Kanye West for his "amazing ideas" and admits she's very interested in collaborating with him.
The 'Style' hitmaker has confirmed she spoke with the 'All Day' rapper about music although they haven't entered the studio yet, but she wants them to record together.
When asked what she thought his suggestion they should work together, she responded: "He has said that."
In an interview with 'Entertainment Tonight', Taylor added: "We've never been in a studio together, but he's got a lot of amazing ideas.
"He's one of those people that's just like idea, idea, idea. Like, 'What do you think of this? What do you think of that?'
"He's very creative and like, I think we've talked about it but we've also talked about so many other things. I think I completely respect his vision as a producer. So, that's all I know now. I have no idea what the next album's gonna be, though."
The two musicians have a chequered history with Kanye famously interrupting her acceptance speech for Best Female Video at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards to insist Beyonce should have won the accolade. However, the pair have since patched up their differences.
Although Taylor wants Kanye on board with her next studio LP in some capacity, the 'Shake It Off' singer insists she won't be going into the studio any time soon, as she is set to embark on her '1989 World Tour'.
She said: "I'm not making the next record yet, that's going to take a lot of thinking about what that should be. With '1989', I love this album so much that I think it'd be doing a real disservice to try and copy it the next time around."
She added: "I think it's going to have to be something very different, creatively."
The '1989 World Tour' starts on Tuesday May 5 at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

Graham Coxon: Blur were in sleep mode

Blur's Graham Coxon admits prior to making their new album 'The Magic Whip' they were in "sleep mode".
The Britpop band reunited in 2008 after a five-year hiatus for a series of concerts but the 'Song #2' riff maker believes the group needed to make an LP together so they wouldn't become just a nostalgia act.
Graham thinks the reason they went into autopilot was because they don't talk "too much" about the future.
The 46-year-old guitarist told the Metro newspaper: "Well Blur sort of went into sleep mode and I suppose there is still confusion as to why that happened. We don't really talk too much about the future, we like to deal in the present.
"After the sort of 'therapy' of playing loads of gigs for a few years, the next question was - do we still think we have the creative spark? And I wanted the responsibility of playing a big part in that."
But now the album is out, he thinks it's their best record to date and that they learnt a lot from making it.
The indie rocker said: "It just feels like a really good Blur album. You can still learn some great stuff, even if you're getting on a bit like us ... It felt really great to know that it (our creativity) was still there, because we didn't have a clue that it was still possible."

John Lydon: Green Day are a two-bob band

John Lydon has blasted Green Day branding them an insignificant "two-bob" band.
The 'God Save The Queen' hitmaker has lashed out at the American pop-rock group and has accused them of watering down the rock genre he created with his band The Sex Pistols in the 1970s.
Lydon - who is also known as Johnny Rotten - declared his dislike for the band in Rolling Stone magazine, saying: "No, I've never been a fan of them, I just don't understand it. I think it's kind of a tinny, two-bob version of something that was far deeper and carried more significance. And, uh, that for me, as a band, they're not very significant."
Lydon - who is known for his outright politically-lead anthems - inspired a generation, but he just doesn't get Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong.
He added: "They're a mélange. They're closer to Billy Idol than myself."
The Sex Pistols have been a huge influence on modern punk and rock bands with many choosing to cover their most famous track 'Anarchy In The UK'.
But Lydon doesn't think any group has improved on the 1976 original.
He bragged: "I don't think they did it any better than the original, and I don't think that's me being too precious about it either."

Adele’s album delayed

Adele's album has been delayed until September.
The 'Skyfall' singer had been expected to bring out her third LP - the long-awaited follow-up to 2011's '21' - this spring but the release has been pushed back again following a number of delays.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The album is currently scheduled for release in September.
"The most recent plan was for it to hit shops before the summer but that's now been scrapped. Adele's taking her time to make sure the album is perfect and doesn't want to compromise."
Adele - who took a break from music after having son Angelo, two, with partner Simon Konecki - sparked speculation her album would be released late last year with a tweet on her 26th birthday.
The star, who named her previous albums '19' and '21' after her ages when she recorded them, posted: "Bye bye 25. See you again later in the year."
In October 2014, her record label was forced to confirm she would not be releasing new material that year.
Adele has worked with a number of artists on the record, including Damon Albarn, Ryan Tedder and Phil Collins, but it was recently claimed she still hasn't selected a producer for the album.
Producer Emile Haynie - who met up with Adele in February to discuss the possibility of working together on the record - said: "Adele was awesome, but I don't know if we'll be working together.
"We got along well as friends when we met in February and I hope we can cut some songs, but Adele is taking her time.
"I'd push for it to happen, but we'll have to wait and see."
