Iggy Azalea shuns Rita Ora’s Lady Marmalade remake

Iggy Azalea has shunned a 'Lady Marmalade' remake.
Rita Ora recently revealed she wanted to recruit the rapper along with Miley Cyrus and Charli XCX for a new version of LaBelle's 1975 hit but Iggy has slammed the idea, insisting she won't be taking part.
She tweeted: "Please leave me out of the whole Lady Marmalade conversation. I have nothing to do with ritas ideas & agree it should be left alone. Thanks (sic)."
Speaking about the idea, the 'Body On Me' singer previously said: "It's always been my goal to create another 'Lady Marmalade'. I'm trying to round up the troops - I think it would be me, Miley, Charli XCX - she'd be fun - and Iggy."
The track was previously covered by Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mýa and Pink in 2001 for the 'Moulin Rouge!' soundtrack but Iggy made it clear she wants to leave the song in the past.
And while Miley Cyrus has yet to comment on whether she would like to be involved, 'Boom Clap' hitmaker Charli revealed on Twitter she would love to re-record the hit, before deleting her supportive tweet.
Replying to a tweet about the idea in her since-deleted response, she wrote: "ummm I'm down".

Naughty Boy praises spiritual Beyonce

Naughty Boy thinks Beyonce is "spiritual".
The producer loved working with the singer on new track 'Running' and was pleased she agreed to work with him because she didn't "need" to.
He said: "Working with Beyonce is amazing. She's very spiritual. She doesn't need to feature on a Naughty Boy song, but the fact she has is just testament to her."
And Beyonce isn't the only singer he has been working with, as he's very excited about an upcoming collaboration with Natasha Bedingfield.
He told OK.co.uk: "I've done a song with Natasha Bedingfield from my new album. And I'm really excited about that.
I love the fact that people remember her. I'm working with Keiza too for my pop album."
While Naughty Boy has pop beauties queuing up to work with him, one stunning star who didn't seem in a rush to spend time with the producer is Neelam Gill.
The Burberry model - who has been romantically linked with the musician's former collaborator-turned-foe Zayn Malik - left the Sony technology 'Made for Bond' featuring the RX100 IV camera event in London last night (12.10.15) shortly after he arrived and didn't seem too keen to be seen with him.
An onlooker said: "Neelam wouldn't pose for pictures with Naughty Boy and made a pretty sharp exit once he came in with his pals."
Other stars in attendance at the bash included 'Spectre' star Naomie Harris, actors Adam Deacon, Ralf Little and Jeremy Piven, presenters Donna Air and Paddy McGuinness, designer Giles Deacon and director Dexter Fletcher.

1D: Justin chart battle ‘good for pop culture’

One Direction believe their chart battle with Justin Bieber will be "good for pop culture".
The four-piece boyband featuring Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan will release their fifth studio album 'Made In The A.M.' on November 13, which is the same day as Justin's fourth record 'Purpose', but teased it will be a "good little battle" to see whose album does best.
Niall said: "It's gonna be a good little battle. It's good for pop culture."
The Canadian singer, 21, previously joked about the album release dates clashing on Snapchat when he suggested they should be worried about being beaten to the top of the charts.
With a terrified expression, he said: "The face you make when you come out with an album the same day as Justin Bieber."
But Louis later posted his own subtle Snapchat message as a comeback, shortly before taking to the stage at London's The O2 where they played a string of six shows.
In the Snapchat, he made the same face and said: "That face you pull when you're playing the last night at The O2."
The 23-year-old star insisted it was all in jest though and they're not taking it seriously.
Louis told Clyde 1 Radio: "We mocked him back. It's all just a bit of a laugh and a joke.
"Let's have it."
Meanwhile Justin previously said he thinks the band decided to release the record on the same day as his because they need extra publicity.
He said: "They're not really going on the road much, but we're talking about them right now, so it gives them some promo, right?
"So, that's probably why they did it ... I think it was strategy on their part because my release date was first.
"But whatever. It's whatever. It's going to be fun. I'm excited to see what happens."

The 'Should've Been Us' singer shared: "Performing on the MTV EMAs will definitely be a big highlight of my year. I'm so excited to be a part of such an incredible show and thrilled to have a couple surprises."
However it's Taylor Swift who's tipped to be the big winner on the evening having been nominated for a whopping nine awards including Best Pop, Best Live Act, Best Female and Best Song for 'Bad Blood'.

Gorillaz to take up whole of 2016 for Damon Albarn

Jamie Hewlett has promised "2016 is going to be Gorillaz all year".
The comic creator has revealed he's once again teamed up with his collaborator Damon Albarn to revive the virtual band with the intention of releasing new music next year.
He confirmed: "We're doing Gorillaz next year.
"Damon has started making some music around all his other projects. I'm working on it at the moment and 2016 is going to be Gorillaz all year.
"He's quite prolific, Damon - I don't think it will be long!"
Jamie - who is co-creator of the comic 'Tank Girl' - originally teamed up with the Blur frontman for the eponymous 2001 album but they haven't released anything together since their fourth album 'The Fall' in 2011.
The band is well known for the four animated characters 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs, and Jamie hinted they could look drastically different when they make their comeback in 2016.
Speaking about the visual aspect, he told NME.com: "It's going to change - I can't tell you how.
"But of course it's going to be different, I can't do what I've already done, that's not interesting to me. In the same way Damon changes with his music and moves forward, I do the same. It's going to be a different look."

Shirley Bassey joins race for Christmas No 1

Dame Shirley Bassey is going for Christmas number one.
The 78-year-old star has joined forces with Brit Award-winning classical group Blake and will release a rendition of King Cole's classic 'The Christmas Song' for charity.
Teasing the single, she said: "I would love to have a Christmas No1.
"Blake sang 'Moon River' at my 70th birthday party, and then we met again at the reception of the charity Variety's 70th anniversary six months ago. Ollie mentioned singing a Christmas song together, and I said I've never done a Christmas song before."
The 'Goldfinger' hitmaker and the boyband - comprising of Ollie Baines, Humphrey Berney and Stephen Bowman - plan to donate the proceeds to London based charity Variety as well as the The Noah's Ark Children's Hospital in Cardiff.
The iconic singer had her first hit in 1958 with 'The Banana Boat Song' while her last chart topper was 'Reach For The Stars' in 1961.
William Hill have already slashed odds on the 'Big Spender' singer fulfilling her dream from 25/1 to 10/1 and she's confident the Christmas cover - first recorded in 1946 - will wow fans old and new.
She added: "I was quite overwhelmed because it just fits my voice so well. I was amazed how well our voices blended."

Sir Elton John in the studio with Clean Bandit

Sir Elton John is making music with Clean Bandit.
The 'Candle in the Wind' hitmaker has taken to Instagram to praise "lovely" Jack Patterson from the Grammy Award-winning group, revealing he's been working with the musician in the studio alongside songwriter Jimmy Napes who co-wrote Sam Smith's worldwide hits 'Stay With Me', 'Lay Me Down' and 'I'm Not the Only One'.
Alongside a photo of himself with Jack, he wrote on Instagram: "I love it when friendship springs from artistic collaboration. Jack Patterson with Clean Bandit and I have just been writing in the studio with Jimmy Napes. Jack is a lovely guy and we had fun catching up over lunch."
The group originally met the iconic musician at the Ivor Novello awards in London earlier this year and were excited at the time as they were surprised he even knew who they were, despite the fact they topped charts around the world with their Jess Glynne collaboration 'Rather Be'.
Band member Grace Chatto told BANG Showbiz: "Elton John sang some of 'Rather Be' to me which was amazing! I wouldn't say he's an obsessive fan, but he said he really likes the music and yeah, that was really exciting."
And it's not the only superstar Jack has been hitting the studio with as he's also been making music with 'Crazy In Love' hitmaker Beyonce.
Speaking about being in the studio with the star, he gushed: "It was insane. Nothing happened in terms of I don't know if there is going to be anything concrete in terms of music, unfortunately. But yeah, it freaked me out."

Andy Bell: Oasis changed my life

Andy Bell's life changed the first time he heard Oasis.
The 45-year-old musician joined the 'Supersonic' band as their bass player in late 1999 as a replacement for original bassist Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan and admits it was a dream come true for him to be part of the now defunct group because their debut album 'Definitely Maybe' had such a huge impact on him when it was released in 1994.
Andy - who played guitar in Liam Gallagher's post-Oasis band Beady Eye and is now back playing in his original group Ride - recalled: "Oasis definitely did change my life when I first heard them! They were like a breath of fresh air. To put it into context, Ride were working on the third album, 'Carnival of Light', and we were taking a bit of a break. We were starting to get a bit frayed at the edges and we were starting to pull in different directions musically, too. We were really shooting for a kind of West Coast Byrdsy California sound mixed with a little bit of Led Zeppelin and a little bit of classic rock.
"I think we were also subconsciously trying to make a cleaner record, because we'd stopped getting played on the radio ... but then along comes Oasis sounding like the Jesus and Mary Chain meets the Sex Pistols and just completely blew everything out of the water!"
Andy also paid tribute to his former Oasis bandmate Noel Gallagher, insisting his skills as a guitarist are underestimated by too many people.
He told website MusicRadar: "I just want to say that I think Noel's really underrated as a lead guitar player. His playing is like a John Squire-y thing, but there's a lot more muscle behind it. He kind of trademarked his own style, which has become something that everyone uses now - that massively overdriven sound with quite a lot of delay on it. [His playing] just sounded epic."
