Morrissey asked to be sent the head of Sir Elton John in 2002 – so he could serve it up on a plate.
The former Smiths star – who is a vegan – said that it would be an exception to the rule of ‘meat’ being ‘murder’.
At the time, he said of the ‘Tiny Dancer’ hitmaker : ‘Bring me the head of Elton John … which is one instance in which meat would not be murder, if it were served on a plate.’
