Miranda Hart’s in talks to bring back Miranda

Miranda Hart is reportedly working on another series of ‘Miranda’.
The 44-year-old comedian is rumoured to be meeting with her co-star Tom Ellis to discuss penning a script for a comeback season of the British sitcom after its finale aired two years ago, which saw the funny woman tie the knot with her love interest Gary Preston (Ellis) in the British sitcom.
A source told The Sun Online: "Miranda and Tom are meeting in the next fortnight to discuss what a new series would look like and how they’d take on the story of her and Gary. This will be music to fans’ ears."
And the 38-year-old dark-haired hunk has also teased he may be "revisiting" the programme at some point in the future, because he is due to meet to discuss plans for a follow-up with the ‘Spy’ actress.
Speaking previously, the former ‘EastEnders’ star said: "We may be revisiting ‘Miranda’ in the next couple of years.
"She is wonderful. I’m going to see her in the next few weeks."
Although there may be a return of the popular series, Miranda has no plans to make a spin-off film of her namesake television show as she doesn’t think films like those would work.
Asked if there would be a movie version of ‘Miranda’, she previously said: "I considered it and worked towards writing a script. Then I kept thinking, these films never work.
"The transition from a studio sitcom to a film never works – ‘The Inbetweeners’ is a perfect example of it working brilliantly, because it was filmic anyway. But what are [the characters] doing on location? And we’re not hearing laughs [from the audience], so it’s such a different thing."
