Mike Parr pokes fun at Joe Gill following James Moore arrival

Mike Parr has poked fun at Joe Gill by joking James Moore has replaced him on ‘Emmerdale’.
The 31-year-old actor’s character Ross Barton has developed a bromance with newcomer James Moore’s alter-ego Ryan Stocks after an initial rocky start, and Mike believes the character could be just what Ross needs following his brother Finn Barton’s (Joe) death last year.
Mike wrote on Twitter: "I don’t know much as you all well know but one of the things I’m sure of is that @jamesmooreactor is a damn fine actor and a great addition to the show. I feel like he’s the new Finn to Ross. @JoeyGillX Who? (sic)"
James replied: "Mike!!!! Still haven’t seen it yet but thank you!!! I’m blushing babe (sic)"
Joe departed the soap in October 2017 when his alter-ego was shot by his own mother Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney) and later died in hospital of a cardiac arrest.
In response to Mike’s message, he replied: "I’m Irreplaceable Broseph (sic)"
However, Ross and Ryan’s bromance will not last for too long because Mike recently revealed he is to leave the ITV soap later this year.
He wrote on Twitter: "Yes I’ll be leaving the soap soon. Have had the best few years at Emmerdale but it’s time to move on and explore other avenues. If I win that soap award I might stay though (sic)"
‘Emmerdale’ series producer Kate Brooks said at the time: "Michael Parr will leave ‘Emmerdale’ later this year at the end of his current contract. His decision to pursue other acting opportunities has given the writing team the opportunity to create an intriguing storyline for his exit.
"Michael, who is nominated for Best Actor at the British Soap Awards next month, will leave the show on a high after brilliantly portraying Ross for five years."
Sadly for Mike, he was beaten to the Best Actor award by Coronation Street’s Jack P. Shepherd.
