Midsomer Murders to get new heartthrob

‘Midsomer Murders’ bosses have hired a hunky new actor to sex up the quaint crime series when it returns next year.
Nick Hendrix – a 31-year-old Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) graduate – has been brought in as heartthrob DS Jamie Winter to set pulses pumping when the detective show hits screens for another installment at the beginning of 2017.
Speaking of his new role, he said: "I’m genuinely thrilled to join this bastion of British TV. It’s a real privilege to be part of a hugely successful and much loved show and I am looking forward to stepping into the wonderful world of ‘Midsomer’."
The crime-fighting sergeant will join forces with veteran DCI John Barnaby (played by Neil Dudgeon) as they attempt to solve gripping murder mysteries – taking place at a cricket festival and a rabbit and guinea pig show – in various villages.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Nick has a great body. A handsome male lead, who is not afraid to get his kit off, is definitely something that female viewers want. There aren’t any scything scenes planned yet."
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time Nick has landed a TV gig as he’s currently starring as Adrian Cooper in the series ‘Marcella’.
He’s also had small roles in dramas such as ‘Foyle’s War’, ‘The White Queen’, ‘Lightfields’, ‘Call the Midwife’ and ‘Inspector George Gently’.
