Mick Jagger’s newborn son ‘named Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger’

Sir Mick Jagger’s newborn son has been named Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger.
The 73-year-old rocker and his ex-lover Melanie Hamrick welcomed their son into the world on December 8 and an Instagram account that appears under the name of Elizabeth Jagger – who is one of Sir Mick’s seven other children – has seemingly confirmed the baby’s name.
The account features a close-up photograph of Sir Mick’s newborn and was captioned: "My beautiful baby brother Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger."
The Instagram account has not been verified by the photo-sharing website, but more than 50,000 people follow the social media page.
Earlier this month, Sir Mick, who has children with five different women, made a last-minute dash across the Atlantic to attend the birth of his son.
The Rolling Stones icon boarded a private jet to New York City to be at the bedside of Melanie, who took Sir Mick by surprise when she rang to inform him of the impending birth of their first child.
A source previously said: "Mick knew the baby was imminent but did not believe his services would be needed so quickly. As soon as he found out, he caught the first plane he could to JFK Airport. There was no way he was going to miss it."
Sir Mick’s private flight meant he arrived just in time for the birth of his son.
The insider added: "It was all very hectic, but thankfully he made it just in time. His relief was nearly as huge as the pride he felt when he welcomed his new son into the world."
Sir Mick and Melanie are no longer a couple, but Sir Mick is keen to be hands-on with his son.
The ‘Street Fighting Man’ rocker has already bought Melanie a £5 million townhouse in New York, while he also intends to see his son as much as possible.
