Michelle Visage thinks Drag Race experience with help on Strictly

Michelle Visage says ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ means she will respect the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judges.
The 50-year-old star thinks her role on the panel of the popular drag show means she will be well placed to handle any criticism from the likes of Craig Revel Horwood and newcomer Motsi Mabuse because she knows to respect their comments and apply it in her own way.
She said: "I wouldn’t do it for any other show, but ‘Strictly’ is something I have been wanting to do for quite some time now so this is a dream come true.
"I will take my critiques and use them because I know what it’s like to sit on the other side of the judges panel.
"When I give advice and critique to the queens, it is for them to take and work on, so I am going to take my own advice and any critiques will be put to good use."
Michelle admitted her pro partner will need "patience" and a sense of humour to get through the long days together.
She added: "I am a grafter. I would love someone who is creative at choreography, who has patience for all of my endless chatter, and obviously we need to have a laugh to get through the eight hour rehearsals."
Meanwhile, Michelle – who will be a judge on the UK version of ‘Drag Race’ when it premieres next month – insisted her full focus will be on ‘Strictly’ when the series starts.
The proud mum-of-two – who has daughters Lillie and Lola with husband David Case – said: "Everything in my life will be put on hold (apart from being a mommy obviously).
"I am taking this very seriously. My main jobs are on hiatus, my 100% undivided attention will be on ‘Strictly!’ "
