‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses are willing to "break the bank" to sign up Michelle Keegan.
Producers on the celebrity dance contest are reportedly keen to get the ‘Our Girl’ actress – whose husband Mark Wright took part in 2014 – on board for the next series of the show and are willing to pay whatever it takes to get her to head the line-up.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "Everyone knows that having Michelle Keegan out on the ‘Strictly’ dance floor would be ratings gold.
"Everyone behind the scenes thinks she would set the dance floor alight. It’s now a matter of convincing her to sign up."
Michelle, 30, is a popular choice for bosses because of her "huge" and young fan base.
The source added: "That’s a demographic that they are desperate to attract to the show and something they are willing to break the bank for."
However, the former ‘Coronation Street’ star previously admitted seeing Mark compete on ‘Strictly’ had put her off wanting to do the show herself.
Asked if she would take part, she previously said: "No – because it was so horrible watching Mark! Mark’s a more confident person than me."
Meanwhile, it has been claimed ‘The Chase’ star Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett is also on producers’ wish lists.
A source said: "Mark has become one of the best-known personalities on TV so he has come on to ‘Strictly’s radar.
"They think he could be a real hit with viewers, as he has been on ‘The Chase’.
"He would certainly make people stand up and take notice with his stature."
However, the 52-year-old quiz expert – who once weighed 27 stone but has been dieting and recently revealed he’d shed two stone over the last few months – isn’t viewed as a contender to win.
The source added to the Sunday People newspaper: "They’re eyeing him up as the comedy character – like Rev Richard Coles last year and Ed Balls the year before."
