Meghan Trainor and her fiancé Daryl Sabara talked about getting married just one month after meeting.
The ‘Spy Kids’ actor proposed to the ‘All About That Bass’ singer on her 24th birthday on December 22, but Meghan admitted she had already been "aggressive" in her hints that she was ready to say yes.
She revealed while guest hosting the NBC’s ‘Today Show’: "We talked about getting married (by) month one. I was aggressive. I wrote a song called, ‘Marry Me.’"
And Meghan said she knew 25-year-old Daryl was the one on their very first date in July 2016, organised by her actress friend Chloe Grace Moretz.
The ‘I’m A Lady’ singer revealed: "I said, ‘I need you to find me a nice guy,’ and she said, ‘I know the nicest guy in the world. His name is Daryl. Let’s go on a double date.’ "And that night we count as our anniversary, because it was just … [like a spark].
"I think that’s when I knew. He came up to me during bowling and said, ‘I just want to know about you. Just tell me more about you.
"He’s such a gentleman and every door, to this day, that I go through, he opens it."
The singer previously confessed she had picked out her engagement ring herself, months before Daryl popped the question.
Meghan revealed: "That was the secret. But I just wanted to make it perfect, just in case, you know? It’s like, ‘Just so you know, this one is my favourite.’ And he was like, ‘But let me have my moment to surprise you.’ And he took his time and had his moment."
But Meghan isn’t in a rush to get married.
She recently told E! News: "I’m engaged! … I’m like, we’re just going to enjoy this [the engagement] for a long time and work and just plan it out so it’s perfect."
