Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla to drop Soulja Boy-sampling collab this week

Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla have a collaboration out this week.

The ‘WAP’ hitmaker took to Instagram to share a clip of the rappers in the studio and confirmed they have recorded a tune that samples Soulja Boy’s 2010 hit ‘Pretty Boy Swag’ and that it arrives on Friday (05.04.24).

Megan captioned the clip, in which she twerks: “Too thick. Glo dropping 4/5 !!! We getting activateddddd (sic)”

The song is seemingly called ‘Wanna Be’ as GloRilla recently dropped the track-listing for her mixtape, ‘Ehhthang Ehhthang’, which is out on April 5.

The collaboration comes as the pair prepare to embark on Megan’s ‘Hot Girl Summer Tour’.

The jaunt will kick off in North America with a show in Minneapolis on May 14, after the US leg, Megan will head to the UK to play Glasgow and Manchester, before heading across the pond to Pairs, Amsterdam, Cologne, and then heading to Dublin, Birmingham, and London, and wrapping with a slot at Washington’s Broccoli City Festival.

For several of the US dates she will be joined by GloRilla.

The ‘Hiss’ hitmaker had teased on social media: “HOTTIESSS, GET READY TO COME HAVE SOME FUN WITH ME AT THEE HOT GIRL SUMMER TOUR.

“Get your outfits ready nowww! We getting started this MAY. I told you what cities today to get y’all prepared!”

Earlier this year, Megan revealed she was planning a summer of outdoor shows in 2024, with the tour named after her 2019 hit with Ty Dolla $ign and rival Nicki Minaj

Appearing on ‘Good Morning America’, she teased: “Oh, we’re having the tour this year.

The Hot Girl Summer Tour is gonna be 2024 summertime. I feel like I’ve never been able to be outside during my early days during the summer since 2019.”

The 29-year-old star has also teased a new album is also on the way.

She said: “So this is gonna be the first time that I drop an album on time for the summer. I do want to give the Hotties the Megan Thee Stallion experience.”
