Megan McKenna will no longer be a full time ‘TOWIE’ cast member.
The reality TV star has decided to drastically reduce her hours on the reality TV show in order to focus on her music career after the release of her debut single ‘High Heeled Shoes’.
A source told The Sun Online: "Megan is reducing her hours so she can focus on chasing her country music dreams.
"She’s filming less days with ‘TOWIE’ because of her increasing commitments to music."
Viewers have been following Megan’s progress in the music industry through her reality TV show ‘There’s Something About Megan’.
Speaking about her passion for country music, she said: "What people don’t know is that I’ve been making music myself for years as a hobby. I’ve been working with a lot of different producers and recording things.
"I’ve never really had a chance to talk about it before. Because I’m a reality star people don’t think I’m so passionate about it and don’t take me seriously but this is all I’ve ever wanted to do."
"It’s not just about a TV show for me. It’s a dream of mine.
"Yes it is another reality show but it is with the hope of launching a music career. I did ‘Ex On The Beach’ and fell into reality TV but music is what I’ve always loved doing."
Meanwhile, Megan and her on/off boyfriend Pete Wicks recently called time on their relationship after her new career came between them.
The turbulent couple – who started dating at the beginning of last year before splitting over the summer – have decided to go their separate ways once again following a series of blazing rows since the brunette beauty’s country music career has taken off.
