Matt Terry is back in touch with his ex-girlfriend.
The ‘X Factor’ winner was left heartbroken earlier this year when his former flame Jasmine Avis dumped him right before he auditioned for the singing competition after three years together, but, rather than cry himself to sleep, he used his anguish to help him perform and is now back in contact with her.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "She congratulated me after I won. We’re good friends, we have the same friendship group and we feel like it’s important we stay friends at least. We spent three years together so we thought we’d be adults about it and work it out. We’re good friends."
However, it seems Matt’s friends are convinced Jasmine – who is also known as Jazz – is only using the 23-year-old hunk because she first tried to reach out to him after his audition aired on screens.
A source said recently: It’s funny what a bit of fame can do to some people as Jazz went crawling straight back into Matt’s arms as soon as his first audition aired. Their friends really wouldn’t be surprised if she messed him around again."
But the ‘When Christmas Comes Around’ singer – who has recently moved in with fellow finalist Freddy Parker – insists that isn’t the case and she’d never use him to get ahead.
He said: "I know her and she’s not the type of person to use me for fame, it’s all good."
