Mary J. Blige added to Lovers and Friends Festival bill in error

Mary J. Blige was mistakenly added to the line-up for Las Vegas’ Lovers and Friends Festival.

The R’n’B legend was listed on the line-up poster earlier this week, but she has since confirmed that her name was printed in error and that she is preoccupied with preparations for her Strength of a Woman Summit in New York City, which takes place the weekend of May 10.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she said: “I am beyond humbled by the response from all of you about the announcement of me on Lovers and Friends Festival.

“Unfortunately my inclusion was an error as I will be busy in preparation for my Strength of a Woman Summit just one week later! I have the greatest fans in the world and can’t wait to see you in New York in a few short months!”

‘Lovers and Friends’ takes place on May 4.

The star-studded line-up includes headliners Janet Jackson, Usher and Backstreet Boys, plus the likes of Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, TLC, Ciara, Ne-Yo, T-Pain, Timbaland, Jason Derulo.

Meanwhile, the 53-year-old star featured alongside the likes of The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, 21 Savage, DJ Khaled, Busta Rhymes, Swae Lee, Babyface, French Montana, and more on Diddy’s first studio album in 17 years, ‘The Love Album: Off the Grid’, which dropped in September.

Blige’s last studio effort was 2022’s ‘Good Morning Gorgeous’.
