Mary Elizabeth Winstead has joined ‘The Parts You Lose’.
The 33-year-old actress will star opposite Aaron Paul and Danny Murphy in the thriller movie which will be directed by Christopher Cantwell from a script by Darren Lemke.
According to Deadline, production of the forthcoming film began in Canada this week.
The movie tells the story of the unlikely friendship formed between a criminal on the run and a deaf boy, Wesley, who meet up in a barn on the family’s farm.
Winstead will take on the part of Gail, Wesley’s mother.
Paul will co-produce the project with Tom Williams and Mark Johnson.
Winstead recently wrapped on forthcoming film ‘All About Nina’ and last year she starred in horror movie ’10 Cloverfield Lane’ opposite John Goodman, whose character Howard Stambler holds her alter-ego Michelle captive in an underground bunker.
She later admitted it was "surreal" seeing Goodman take on a "creepy" role.
The ‘Final Destination 3’ star said: "He’s everything that you hoped he would be, as someone who grew up watching him in so many things. He is that lovable John Goodman that we all know.
"A legend, but in this role he gets to be somebody else entirely. So it was a bit surreal, getting to watch this actor, that I love so dearly, be intimidating and creepy. But he does it so well."
Winstead has also starred in the likes of ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’, ‘The Thing’ and the fourth and fifth ‘Die Hard’ movies, ‘Live Free or Die Hard’ and ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’, in which she played Lucy Gennero-McClane, Bruce Willis’ main character John McClane’s estranged daughter.
