Martin Clunes knows nothing of a Men Behaving Badly reunion

Martin Clunes has heard nothing about a ‘Men Behaving Badly’ reunion.
The ‘Doc Martin’ star played lager-swilling lad Gary Strang in the comedy in six series which aired between 1992 and 1998 and although there has been a clamour for it to come back Martin insists he’s heard nothing about a comeback for his alter ego.
During an interview on ITV show ‘This Morning’ host Phillip Schofield quizzed the 57-year-old actor about rumours the sitcom is coming back, to which he answered: "It’s the first I’ve heard of it!"
Martin went on to joke that a revival would be hard because his co-stars Neil Morrissey, Caroline Quentin and Leslie Ash don’t look as good as him 21 years later.
He quipped: "The others haven’t aged as well as I have!"
Martin’s former co-star Neil – who played Gary’s layabout flatmate Tony Smart – has insisted that he and his castmates would be up for a ‘Men Behaving Badly’ reunion if a good script was written.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ last year, Neil, 57, said: "If there’s a script – because in my game everything starts with a script – and if the script’s good … Martin and I and Leslie have all said of course we’ll do it. So we need to get (writer) Simon Nye, nail him down and get him to write a series."
However, Caroline thinks any revival would have to move the characters’ lives on as it would be odd for the now-older characters to live together in a "grotty flat".
The 59-year-old actress – who played Gary’s long-suffering girlfriend Caroline Quentin – said: "It was probably about 10 years ago I said, ‘If it were to happen…’ But I have to admit, now I think there’s something rather spooky about four people nearly in their 60s sharing a grotty flat together. I don’t know where the comedy would come from."
