Marnie Simpson’s kidneys aren’t working properly.
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ babe – who is regularly seen guzzling alcohol on television for her hit show ‘Geordie Shore’ – was rushed to hospital last week with an infection in her abdominal organs and doctors believe it could be down to too much boozing.
Writing in her column for Star magazine, she said: "I was rushed to hospital last week with a kidney infection and kidney stones. My kidneys aren’t working properly and doctors think it could be from drinking too much alcohol … I’ve been on medication."
After a gruesome week strapped up to a drip, the 24-year-old reality TV star decided to book a last-minute trip to Barcelona, Spain, with her boyfriend Lewis Bloor to help her recover.
She said: "I’ve just got back from a romantic break in Barcelona with Lewis. We finally found a weekend when we could both get away, so we booked it last-minute. It was nice to escape and relax for a few days, just the two of us. It’s just what we needed."
However, the brunette beauty has admitted her relationship with Lewis, 26, isn’t going as well as she thought it would.
She explained: "Things are still going well between me and Lewis, but I find out relationship really hard, if I’m honest. I want things to be as amazing as they were on ‘CBB’ but I was being unrealistic because it’s so different outside. I want to keep things private, because I don’t want to give people a reason to talk about us. I already get tweets when he’s doing PAs. It’s so stressful."
The couple hit it off when they were both thrown inside the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house for three weeks in the summer.
