Mark Wright is set to host a forthcoming anniversary episode of ‘The Only Way is Essex’.
The 29-year-old presenter turned his back on the reality TV series – the programme that made him famous – in 2011 but he is preparing to return to his routes to provide the voiceover for a one-off special as he explores the impact the show, which has run for six years, has had on the county.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he explained: "We are doing an anniversary episode and talking about the success and the power of the show. They’ve asked me to do the voiceover and host the show. It’s a serious programme. People like to talk about ‘TOWIE’ in a bad way and tarnish it.
"But Brentwood high street has changed so much, and the local hotels do great business because of it. I have been speaking to a local MP and someone who has done ‘TOWIE’ tours. I’m looking forward to doing that."
However, the handsome star, who joined the hit series in 2010, is adamant he’ll never return to ‘TOWIE’ full-time, despite the fact his sister Jessica Wright and best friend James ‘Arg’ Argent still have a regular role on the show.
He said recently: "I don’t think I’d ever go back to ‘The Only Way is Essex’. I just want to stick to presenting now."
