Mark Ronson is to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story.
The DJ and producer is the latest star to have signed up to the popular CBeebies kids programme ‘Bedtime Stories’, on which he will read Sophy Henn’s book ‘Pom Pom Gets The Grumps’.
A tweet on the CBeebies Twitter account reads: "They’ll be chilled Late Night Feelings after this #BedtimeStory!
@MarkRonson produces another hit…
Friday 6th September at 6:50pm
#BringTheNoise @sophyhenn (sic)"
The 43-year-old star has been signed up to read the story as part of BBC Education’s Bring The Noise campaign, to help kids discover the fun that can be had from "music-making".
This comes after Rob Delaney became the first person to sign a CBeebies Bedtime Story.
He did so in Makaton, which he learned to communicate with his late son Henry who tragically died at the age of two.
In a statement released on the CBeebies Twitter account last November, Rob said: "Our family learned Makaton to be able to communicate with our son Henry.
"We’re sad Henry isn’t here to see it but we’re happy other families will get to enjoy a story told in Makaton."
Mark will follow in the footsteps of several others who have read a Bedtime Story on the channel, including Tom Hardy, Sir Elton John, George Ezra, Suranne Jones, Dolly Parton, Eddie Redmayne, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Guy Garvey, David Tennant, Damian Lewis, Tim Peake and US actor Chris Evans.
Ewan McGregor also joined the long list last year.
He said at the time: "It’s such an honour and pleasure to join an incredible list of actors to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story to children all over the UK.
"I had a great time filming and I hope everyone enjoys watching it."
