Mark-Francis Vandelli needs more surgery on ankle after The Jump fall

Mark-Francis Vandelli has to have another operation on his ankle following his tumble on ‘The Jump’ last month.

The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star, who was forced to pull out of the winter sports show after he snapped his ankle four weeks ago, has admitted he’s got a long way to go before he’ll be completely healed as he needs to go under the knife again in the next coming months.

He explained to Star magazine: "I’ve had surgery. I have eight screws in my ankle and I need another operation. I’m in a cast for a couple of months, I can’t really do anything! But it was a great experience. I loved every minute of it."

The 27-year-old posh boy became the fourth celebrity to bow out of the dangerous programme after he cracked the bone in his foot while battling it out in the aggressive Snow Cross challenge on live television at the beginning of February.

‘The Jump’, which concluded last weekend when rugby hunk Ben Cohen nabbed the winner’s trophy, has come under fire this year after a number of celebrities were left with life-changing injuries and were forced to seek medical help.

But Mark isn’t the only competitor who is still battling with his injury long after the accident as Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle is currently undergoing rehabilitation after she broke her back when she ploughed into a barrier and landed awkwardly on her spine.

Rebecca Adlington also still has her arm strapped up in a sling after she dislocated her shoulder in the Air Jump.

And ‘Holby City’ actress Tina Hobley is still in a cast after she dislocated her elbow and fractured her arm when the crew failed to vacate the landing area.
