Mark Dolan joins The Jump

Mark Dolan will take part in the forthcoming series of ‘The Jump’.
The 42-year-old comedian – who was known for presenting ‘Balls of Steel’ from 2005 until the show ended in 2008 – has agreed to slip into his thermal suit and ski boots and hit the snowy slopes in Austria for the winter sports programme next month.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I’m delighted to be taking part – and by delighted, I mean absolutely bloody terrified. However, I’m confident I will excel in the après-ski (the social activities following a day’s skiing). That’s a sport, isn’t it?"
And it’s hardly surprising the funnyman is riddled with nerves as last year’s show was responsible for a number of celebrities experiencing life-changing injuries.
The last series saw gymnast Beth Tweddle break her back, ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Mark-Francis Vandelli fracture his ankle and Rebecca Adlington dislocate her shoulder.
The spike in injuries meant bosses were forced to revisit the risky format and discuss whether it was worth bringing it back for another series at the beginning of next year.
However, after bosses managed to persuade a good amount of stars to take part in the forthcoming series, producers were given the go-ahead to do another installment.
The full line up for the forthcoming series is yet to be confirmed but Mark will certainly have stiff competition as she will go up against Lydia Bright, Vogue Williams, Caprice, Josie Gibson, Spencer Matthews and Olympic gymnast Louis Smith in January.
